The Experience
what to expect
From the moment you inquire, I will guide you through everything.
First, with a consult call if you are down for that. And before you start internally panicking, just know that as an introvert myself, I loathe phone calls and I will usually avoid them at all costs. BUT.. yes there is a but, they are incredibly helpful and super laid back. It's usually about 10 minutes of me yapping (I'm also a professional yapper once the introvert in me shuts up and the ADHD kicks in.. wild, I know). There may be a couple screams thrown into the mix from feral toddlers (I'm also a full time mom) but I just like to call it chaotic background music. So when I say it's a laid back/zero pressure call, I truly mean that. Our clients always have questions on what to expect and this gives me a much simpler way to give you all the deets. That way you can decide if this is the right time & experience for you, as well as it will give you the chance beforehand to decide if I am your cup of tea. Personally I think I'm a hoot and fun/chaotic time and if you think so to, then we will move to the next part of the process- planning your shoot, YAY!
Before your session, we will go over any ideas you may have, things you like/don't like, type of outfits you like and what your overall style & vibe is. I also send out a handy little prep guide that gives you tips on the best places to buy lingerie if you want to bring your own, ideas for casual outfits if lingerie isn't your jam and basic tips on how you can prepare for your shoot.
Then shoot day comes.. HECK YEA!
When you arrive, you'll get glammed up with our professional makeup artist (she's the BOMB) & then get your hair did, so you are feeling like your most polished, badass self.
Once you are feeling good about the way you look, we will go over outfits. We will go through anything you brought and any options I have available- you can try any of them on to get a feel for them and then select your favorite 2-3 outfits to wear.
Then, it's your time to shine baby!
You probably just felt your nerves spike reading that part, huh? That's normal. Honestly I am more surprised when ladies come in and say they aren't nervous. It goes with the territory and unless you are a professional model or stripper, taking your clothes off in front on strangers is likely not your norm. But I'm here to tell you those nerves melt away 99% of the time within the first 10 minutes of shooting. Seriously, some of the most popular words when clients are done are:
"I can't believe I was so nervous"
"That is not at all what I imagined"
"I'm mad it took me this long to book, that was actually fun"
And I'm so confident you will feel the same, I'd be willing to bet money on it. But the only way you will ever truly know for yourself, is to just do it.
Book the damn shoot. You and your new found confidence can thank me later. And I will gladly tell you it was my pleasure, because it is.
I love helping women finally see themselves in a positive light. And while I love creating and taking photos you will absolutely love, even more so I love the moments in between.
The moment when a woman who has spent years, feeling like she wasn't enough... finally looks at herself and sees a worthy, beautiful woman.
The moment she decides she is done settling.
Done shrinking.
Done trying to fit into someone else's mold.
Done waiting for someone else's approval.
That moment? It's everything.
And then there's the mom.. who's been drowning in laundry, schedules, and everyone else's needs...
Who walks into my studio and for the first time in a long time, gets to just exist.
To relax.
To be taken care of.
To feel seen.
And when she walks out.. something shifts.
She didn't just take photos.
She remembered who she is.
And THAT is why I do this.
Regardless of your age or where you're at in life, this experience is for YOU.
And if you're feeling that little pull right now.. the "maybe I should just do it.." voice?
Listen to it.
Because this? It will rock your world in the best way possible.
Frequently asked questions
do you share the images from my session?
Absolutely not unless you give me full permission first.
Your session can be kept completely private if that’s what you prefer. Some women love sharing their images and empowering others with their story, while others choose to keep them just for themselves or their partner. Both are 1000% okay here.
This is a judgment-free, safe space always.
Do you offer payment Plans?
YES! I try to make this experience doable for as many women as possible.
We offer flexible prepayment plans that can be stretched out leading up to your session date, along with options like Affirm, Afterpay & PayPal Credit.
Most women do not pay for everything at once.
DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO POSE?
Not even a little.
I fully guide you from head to toe the entire session, from where to place your hands to how to arch your back to what to do with your face.
You do not need modeling experience whatsoever.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY GALLERY & PRODUCTS?
Your image reveal & ordering appointment usually takes place within 2-3 weeks after your session, sometimes even sooner.
Product turnaround times vary depending on what you order, but most products arrive within 3-8 weeks.
And yes… the waiting is the hardest part.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
I help you with all of that!
You’re welcome to bring your own outfits, borrow pieces from the client closet, or mix both.
And honestly? Some of the sexiest images are oversized tees, sweaters, sheets, or even just confidence.
when should I book my shoot?
Honestly? The best time to book is the moment you feel the pull to do it.
Not after you lose 20 pounds.
Not when life finally “slows down.”
Not when you magically wake up feeling confident enough.
Because truthfully? That “perfect time” usually never comes.
Most women leave their session saying the same thing:
“I wish I would have done this sooner.”
That being said, if you are wanting your images or products back for a special occasion like a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or gift, I generally recommend booking at least 2 months in advance to allow time for editing, ordering, and product delivery.
The Most Common Things I Hear Before Someone Books
"I wish I had the confidence to do a session"
You don’t need to feel confident before booking a session. That confidence is an outcome of the session.
"I have no idea how to pose or look sexy"
You don’t need to know how to pose. I will guide you through all of it, posing you head to toe. First I will demonstrate the pose myself and then walk you through it verbally, step by step.
"Maybe one day when I lose weight"
"I need to hit my weight loss goal first"
And you definitely DON'T NEED to change your body first. The beauty of boudoir is it helps you love and appreciate your body at every stage of life. I have done so many self portraits whether I was 7 months pregnant, a size 8 or a size 12 and even my own professional boudoir shoot when I was 5 months postpartum and guess what? I have loved what I saw every time, regardless of my size. Even when my mind told me I was going to hate what I saw, I didn't... I actually was shocked when I saw the photos from my professional boudoir session.. thinking "okkkk.. I actually look hot. I look way better than I thought I did". I almost canceled that session, I had invested thousands and was ready to throw it all away. Even as a boudoir photographer myself, I was SO hesitant and nervous, upset that I didn't hit my weight loss goal before my shoot. I had just had my 4th child 5 months prior and momma was not feeling herself or body quite yet. It was hard to go through with it and trust the process. Even though as a professional boudoir photographer I knew I better, I knew the impact sessions have, yet my fears and doubts were trying to over power that. But, I did it and I am so so thankful I did. Because seeing my photos was the moment my postpartum, insecure mindset started to shift, that was the moment I started to get my pink back.
That is the power of a boudoir session.
Most women come to me nervous, overthinking, and unsure if they’ll even like a single photo.
And then something shifts.
They relax.
They laugh.
They start to see themselves differently.
This isn’t just about photos.
It’s about finally seeing yourself the way everyone else already does.
